I always liked engineering, but I was looking for an application that could have an impact on people life. So searching I discovered biomedical engineering (by the time I started the university it was a new thing not yet so popular). Help people improving their quality of life definitely add enthusiasm to my daily work as engineer.

I read some books called “Horrible Science” – they also had a magazine where you could get a jelly version of an organ each week! There I got interested in the human body, how it works, and diseases in particular – I found them fascinating!
