I didn’t really understand what an engineer is until I was almost finished school. Before that, I knew I would love to be an inventor or something like that but I didn’t realise that engineering was the way to actually achieve that. When I had to fill in my CAO form to choose a college course (about 17 years old?), then I had to look into it in more detail. I spoke to some older students who were a year or two ahead of me and they basically explained it to me. Engineering turned out to be a perfect choice for me.

I was interested in engineering from the age of about 8 or 9.
I only really made the conclusive decision to pursue a career in engineering in the CAO change of mind deadline when I was about 17.
