• Question: Did any of your teachers encourage you to be an engineer?

      Some of my teachers did, but not many of them really knew what an engineer was or does. I found out a lot about it by myself, but once I told my teachers what I wanted to do they were very encouraging.

      My physics teacher motivated my curiosity and willing to learn and apply science

      I can’t remember anyone directly telling me I should study engineering, but I certainly had teachers who gave me a love of the subjects that I did while studying engineering in college – maths, applied maths, physics, engineering, etc.

      No really, no. It wasn’t their fault though, as I thought I wanted to be an architect.
      I think most schools are now much more aware of the value of STEM subjects and all of the career opportunities that are available to people with STEM qualifications.

      Actually my teacher in the primary school encouraged me to be a writer… I was promising, but I guess my skills changed with the age! 🙂
