      It’s varies, based on a number of factors.
      The infusion pumps build up a concentration of the drugs in the blood, and it takes your body time to metabolise the drugs to get the pain relieving effect.
      Once the pump stops delivering the drugs, the effect can be experienced for up to an hour or two afterwards.

      Some patients suffer from persistent or chronic pain, and may need to use an infusion pump continuously for up to 24 hours at a time.
