      Yes. One of the applications people are developing robots for is search and rescue missions where they need to search for survivors after a disaster, such as an earthquake. Robots can search in confined and dangerous places without putting the lives of human rescue workers at risk. There are lots of other ways that robots can save lives, including self-driving cars (lower accident rates), building water infrastructure and drains (clean water), performing microsurgery surgery, etc.
